It is a time-proved speaker cable design that features our foremost innovations: FTDA® conductor damping method, SATI® insulation and enhanced multi-element shield. Large 5.50 mm² BRC ensure effortless amplifier-speaker matching, regardless of their design ethos and specification. FTDA® based on a conductor free floating in a viscous longitudinal cotton fibre surround with high mechanical decrement provides efficient vibration absorption by as much as 50 times and extends the dynamic range. SATI® insulation with innovative cold non-polar dielectric tape overlaying ensures the best electrical conductivity, steps down the common-mode component distributed capacitance, decreases relative permittivity and signal energy losses within the dielectric. The enhanced multi-element shield suppresses EMI in a wider frequency range from ELF to SHF, further improving definition. An integral multi-stranded BRC drain wire reduces the contact noise in the shield and provides constant shield impedance at the lowest levels. The Reference SC is jacketed with a 2-layer combination of a Russian-made low-loss SPVC and highly elastic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) Elastollan® for unrivalled dielectric long-term stability, mechanical strength and efficient absorption of acoustic noise and vibrational loads. Featuring enormous dynamics, amazing bass impact and extension, perfect tonality, and the ability to extract every last detail of a recording the Reference SC established its own benchmark for performance and made Tchernov Cable brand a byword for excellence.

Due to the cable construction complexity and excessive material consumption the initial burn-in period (time during which the best sonic performance is reached) is suggested as 100 hours of uninterrupted music playback at least. We highly recommend playing music of different genres.
